i was skating with my friends
and they said we can't come back again
cause all of the sudden the boardwalk was filled
with a bunch of people trying to tell us what to do
so i said what are you doing here today?
you should leave this is where we belong
and so i told my dad
these people are trying to skate at our place
even though we were here first
he said you need to tell them that you were here
that way they don't get the wrong idea
then i took my skateboard and i did an ollie
and they watched me
and they couldn't look away

cuz on a day like today
you could do anything that you want
why are we sitting inside on such a nice a day?
all the wind in the trees
we should go outside and play
not a cloud in the sky
so what are you doing inside?
get outside, and have some fun with your friends
we could go fishing or we could go for a walk
their is a lot of things we could do on a day
there's no time on the clock
we could go to the store get some baseball cards
together with my friends we are the one's in charge

we could cut the grass or we could go for a swim
the fish are in the water so you kno its gotta be nice

went to the store today to get myself some clothes
but i didn't have any money
so the shop keeper took the clothes
when i looked in his eyes
and i said that i was looking for something fashionable

then i went and got myself some new fancy clothes

this was my first real exposure to hungry lights, and i am forever glad i gave it a listen. it's such a rollercoaster of a emotions! i cannot describe how much i love it, but to put it short and sweet, it's an amazing album that deserves so much love.
